The Work We Actually Do

One of South East Queensland's premier fire protection and maintenance contractors. Sprinkler systems, fire pumps, detection and engineered fire services on buildings and infrastructure that cannot afford to stop. These are our own sites, our own installations and our own drawings.

What our work looks like up close

Plenty of fire companies can change an extinguisher. Fewer can programme an addressable panel against a building's cause and effect matrix, design a pump and tank arrangement, or hand a certifier the documentation that closes a project out. The photographs below are our own work across detection, sprinklers, pumps, passive fire and engineered systems.

Our Work

Systems, sites and drawings

Transport infrastructure

Tunnel fire indicator panel and station fire panel racks in a transport control room, alongside the plant control cabinets they interface with. Infrastructure of this type carries some of the most demanding cause and effect requirements we work with.

Addressable interface and cause and effect

Bank of Ampac addressable loop interface modules wired out in an environmental enclosure, with the cause and effect schedule worked through on site: fans start, fans stop, smoke mode. This is the part of a detection system that actually drives the building.

Aspirating detection in cold storage

Incite Fire aspirating smoke detector and sampling pipework run on insulated panel in a cold storage facility. Point detectors are unreliable at these temperatures, so aspirating detection is the correct answer.

Addressable panel upgrades

Addressable fire indicator panel built out with expansion modules, installed and programmed in house. Panel replacements are staged so the building stays occupied and detection stays in service overnight.

In-house design and drafting

Three dimensional model of fire water storage tanks set against the building services layout, drafted in house. Design, drafting and project management sit under our own roof rather than being brokered out.

Fire services schematics

Fire services schematic produced in house for coordination with the fire engineer, consultant and certifier so the installed system matches the approved design intent.

Works out of hours

Night works on a live construction site. Programmed shutdowns, staged isolations and out of hours attendance are normal for us, because most buildings cannot stop trading for their fire systems.

Sprinkler pipework and valve sets

Sprinkler pipework of the kind inspected, flow tested and overhauled through the monthly to five-yearly routines in Section 2 of AS 1851-2012.

Hydrants and hose reels

Externally mounted fire hose reel on an industrial building, part of the hydrant and hose reel assets we survey, flow test and overhaul across South East Queensland.

Passive fire and egress

Fire door with do not obstruct signage and exit sign in a commercial building. Passive fire is the most commonly neglected part of a building because none of it moves or beeps.

Project

Parkside Apartments, Brisbane

A multi-storey residential development in Brisbane where Safe QLD completed the fire protection works. High rise residential brings sprinklers, hydrants and boosters, detection and occupant warning, emergency lighting, fire doors and stair pressurisation together on one program, with the body corporate carrying the occupier obligations once the building is handed over.

It is the type of building we are built for: multiple systems, one contractor, and a compliance record that has to survive the transition from construction into maintenance without a gap.

The kind of work we take on

Major Installations

New sprinkler, hydrant, pump and detection installations designed, drafted, installed, commissioned and documented under one contract.

One-Off Major Repairs

Pump overhauls, panel replacements, ring main and booster rectification, five-yearly failures and end-of-life upgrades, quoted with photos and priorities.

Whole-Building Contracts

Every prescribed installation on one AS 1851 schedule, so nothing sits in the gap between two contractors and no routine gets missed.

Portfolios

Multiple buildings across South East Queensland reported per site and across the portfolio, with five-yearly works flagged well before they land on your budget.
